A New York accent, big city twinkle in his eye, of Italian heritage, this guy reminded me of home (I grew up near Pittsburgh). He had an oversized personality that was a lot of fun to interact with and be around. I wondered how the natives in this sleepy town nestled into the Rocky Mountains would take to the newcomer with the Yankees ball cap. The running joke among the crew was that he had to be in witness protection program to pick this place to build, so far from what he was used to. When I think of him and this project, I think of all the Italian friends I had back home and their dads. The bravado, the laughter, the one-liners, and the image of The Outlaw.
