We absolutely love our timber frame from Clydesdale frames. The frame has been up almost 5 years with no issues except what I expected, wood in our climate will pop and crack a little until completely dry, this just added to the frame’s unique features. Having worked in the hardwood lumber field most of my working life, we chose a Douglas-fir frame and are happy with our choice. All wood in our timber frame was done in a natural finish and this adds to its one of a kind style. The Clydesdale crew, starting with Chris in design were exceptional. They worked with me and my wife’s ideas to get the frame and home we wanted. John was equally involved and was always ready to get a schedule, that worked for us. The crew that built the frame, then came to erect it were amazing. To see these men in action assembling the frame and erecting it in the time frame in which they did impressed me, my wife, the general contractor, all his employees, and anyone I have shared this experience with. In essence we love our home, its design, the ability for such an open plan with style.
