This home was built to mimic another frame we had built previously. The biggest difference is that the owners wanted a softer feel to their frame than the one they saw. Using arched braces and a rounded edge rather than straight braces and a chamfer, we were able to achieve their desires. Using what we have come to term the “Red Cross House”, this home shows a very common design for timber frames. A tall center portion with timber frame wings to either side.
